The rules for using Zhina: what the app does, what it does not do, and what we expect from everyone who uses it.

1. What Zhina is

Zhina helps people in India find and contact service providers, local businesses, jobs and work opportunities, and rental properties near them. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms. The Privacy Notice separately explains how we use personal data.

Zhina only connects people. We are not the employer, agent or contractor of any service provider or business, we are not a party to any agreement you make with them, and we do not inspect their work, premises or properties.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You can browse without an account; to message, post, apply, review or be listed you sign in with your mobile number and a one-time code (OTP).

Keep your details accurate. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Never share your OTP — Zhina staff will never ask for it.

3. Your responsibilities

Everything you post — your profile, photos, services, business details, job and work posts, rental listings, offers, messages and reviews — must be truthful, lawful and yours to share.

Check people, prices, properties and terms yourself before you hire, rent, apply or pay. Meet in safe places and do not pay advances to people you have not verified.

4. Service providers

If you list yourself as a service provider, describe your skills, rates and service area honestly, and only accept work you are able and allowed to do. You are responsible for your work, your safety and any licences your trade needs.

5. Businesses and offers

Business details, opening hours and offers must be accurate. An offer you publish must be honoured as described while it is active. Zhina may notify people near your business about your offers.

6. Jobs and work opportunities

Job and work posts must describe real roles with honest pay and conditions. Asking applicants for money, or posting jobs to collect personal data, is not allowed. Hiring decisions and employment terms are between the poster and the applicant.

7. Rentals

Rental listings must describe a real property you are allowed to let, with honest photos, rent and deposit. Zhina does not verify ownership, collect rent or deposits, or take part in rental agreements.

8. Your content

You keep ownership of what you post. You give Zhina a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and show it inside Zhina (for example, showing your listing to people nearby) for as long as it is on Zhina.

Photos are checked automatically on your phone before upload, and content may be reviewed after a report. We may remove content that breaks these Terms.

9. Prohibited use

Do not post anything illegal, fraudulent, misleading, hateful, sexually explicit or violent, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.

Do not harass, threaten, spam or scam anyone, collect other users' contact details for unrelated purposes, impersonate anyone, create fake accounts or listings, or misuse verification.

Do not interfere with the app, get around its security or limits, or access it with bots or scrapers.

10. Reviews and ratings

Reviews must describe a genuine experience with the person or business. Paid, fake, copied or retaliatory reviews are not allowed. Zhina may flag, hide or remove reviews that look suspicious, and removed reviews do not count towards ratings.

11. Verification

Phone Verified means the account completed mobile OTP sign-in. Profile Complete means required role details have been filled in. Identity Verified or Business Verified appears only after Zhina reviews an applicable verification request. None of these badges guarantees skills, work quality, availability or conduct.

12. Digital and AR visiting cards

Your digital card shows your public profile details and a public card code. Anyone who scans your card or QR code can see that public information. Do not copy, alter or use another person's card or code.

13. Paid features

Zhina is currently free to use. If paid features (such as sponsored listings or printed cards) are introduced, their price and terms will be shown before you pay, and payment will be handled by a licensed payment provider.

Payment for work, products or rent agreed between users is made directly between them. Zhina does not collect or hold that money.

14. Suspension and removal

We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, put others at risk, or where the law requires it. You can start account deletion in Settings → Privacy & Data. Help Center remains available if you cannot access that screen.

15. Disclaimer and liability

Zhina is provided as it is. We work to keep it available and accurate but cannot promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features may change.

To the extent the law allows, Zhina is not responsible for what users say, do, offer or post, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits your rights under Indian consumer protection law.

16. Your data

How Zhina handles personal data is explained in the Privacy Notice (Settings → Privacy & Data), which is separate from these Terms. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

Only post information about other people that you are allowed to share, and only for the purpose of using Zhina. Keep your phone and OTP secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.

You can see, correct or download your data, withdraw optional consents, raise a privacy complaint or delete your account from Settings → Privacy & Data.

17. Changes, law and disputes

We may update these Terms; if a change is significant we will tell you in the app. These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve any issue.
